Friends of Baysgarth Group

Over the last three years Baysgarth School has gone from strength to strength and is now consistently achieving outcomes that put it in the top 10% of schools nationally.  We are very proud to have delivered on our promise to improve the quality of education for the children of this community and we are determined to sustain these improvements for years to come.

A significant part of our vision is for the school to be at the heart of the community and we have made great strides to achieve this aim by investing in superb sports and drama facilities, which cannot be rivalled by any other school in the area.  Now that we have these wonderful facilities to match our wonderful students and staff, we want to develop a ‘Friends’ organisation to bring the school and the community closer together.

We know the vast majority of our parents and carers are passionate about having high quality education for their children and are strong supporters of the school.  We are now asking that for those parents and carers who have some time to give, if they can help us to create even more opportunities for our students.  We are hoping that a successful ‘Friends of Baysgarth School’ (FOBS) group can hold the key to unlocking extra opportunities for students through community events and fundraising.

As a school we are very proud of our inclusive ethos and we have made a point of not asking for parental contributions for essential equipment.  No other school can match our facilities and no other school has access to a full time counsellor to support our vulnerable students.  But a successful FOBS group can help us to go even further and provide funds for extra PE equipment, help to subsidise trips and visits and help provide support for landscaping, outdoor furniture and artwork to ensure the school environment has the wow factor.  More importantly, it can further strengthen the bonds between school and community through events from race nights to ceilidhs to summer fairs, cementing the place of Baysgarth at the heart of our community.

If you, or someone you know, would be interested in being involved in our Friends of Baysgarth School group, please contact the school via admin.baysgarth@baysgarthschool.co.uk.  Any form of support you can offer is greatly appreciated.
