Baysgarth 3 in 3 Challenge
19th November 2019
Baysgarth are proudly supporting local resident, Chris Renton, who is running the 'Brathay 10 in 10 Challenge', whereby he will compete in ten marathons over ten days! This is a phenomenal feat that he has successfully completed three times previously!
For those who do not know, the Brathay Trust work with children and young people who face difficulties in life, including bullying, abuse and neglect. Brathay's mission is to improve the life chances of children, young people and families by inspiring them to engage positively in their communities.
To support Chris and pay homage to the Brathay Trust, Baysgarth will be holding our very own '3 in 3 House Challenge' next week! Students can take part in events on Tuesday 26th, Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th November to run or walk between one mile (one lap of the field) and three miles (three laps of the field). Each lap is worth one House point. Students can choose to participate in one, two or all three days next week, and can use the event towards their marathon challenge and charitable event Flipped Learning.
Students who wish to take part and support this fantastic cause should meet at the outdoor changing rooms at 2.40pm and register with a member of PE staff.
Please note, there will not be any other sports clubs running next week.
We wish everyone the best of luck!
