Students leave Baysgarth to enter Further or Higher Education or take up employment or training. Tutors work closely with the Careers Service to ensure that students have as much help and guidance as they need. Each student is entitled to a careers interview and our Careers Coordinator offers Year 12 students an interview early in the autumn term.
Tutors administer the Universities and Colleges Application Service in school. All Year 12 students are encouraged to attend the UCAS convention in July so that they can talk to university tutors and pick up prospectuses. They are then monitored throughout the application process so that they make the best choices.
Grants and loans are discussed and we invite the student finance officer from the local council and from the University of Hull to talk to the students about financial matters.
