Bursary Support
About Baysgarth School

Baysgarth Sixth form offers some vulnerable students a bursary to help with the costs of staying in full time education.

The Bursary is available to students who are aged under 19 years on 31st August 2016 and who are study courses up to level 3 ( the equivalent of an A Level).

The different types of bursaries available to students at Baysgarth Sixth form are:

1. A guaranteed bursary of 1200 for vulnerable young students who are care leavers or who are in receipt of Income Support / Universal Credit or who are receiving Disability Living Allowance / Personal Independence Payments and Employment Support Allowance / Universal Credit in their own right

2. A discretionary bursary for students whose family have a low household income or whose family have exceptional circumstances or caring responsibilities

Most essential college costs such as course workbooks, textbooks and equipment are provided free of charge. In addition, computer facilities and specialist computer software are available for students to use in lessons and in their PAL sessions. You will need to check your course information for essential costs you are required to meet.

If you feel you may qualify to receive either of the bursaries we offer you will be able to apply once you have begun your courses in September.
